FIRST STEP
Before you even think about investing or purchasing moulds, you must first ensure that you are in the position to do so....
Question: Do I have the right premises?
Answer: This is something I personally cant answer mainly because I have not seen your home. BUT, I can say as long as you are able to spare a small corner of your property for things like sand and drying or work areas then the answer is YES!
We have been doing this for 12 years now and our work area would be roughly in the region of 30-40 square meters (same size as your average two car garage) and that is plenty of space for the different aspects of what we do. Inside or outside...it doesn't matter!
Question: Can I afford to purchase what I need?
Answer: Once again I cant comment on your financial position or your present income. BUT I can say the initial outlay or cost is very minimal compared to the potential earnings that you can and will create when you choose to take the first step. The Resale price of the poured and finished item is usually the same as the initial price of the ABS mould. This means that for a initial cost of say $50.00 for a ABS mould, you can earn up to 100 or even a 1000 times the initial cost..These ABS moulds are made to last pour after pour. This not only sounds to good to be true..It is true ... But a lot will depend on how much time you are prepared to put into your new business or hobby.
Admittedly there will be certain tools like drills, dremels, buckets ect, that you will need to purchase but once again the cost is very minimal.
Question: Do I have the spare time?
Answer: On average we spend 3-7 hours a day pouring and then finishing the previous days pours and also creating new ABS moulds. Unfortunately whenever you are dealing with a specific type of item, say "garden art", it can be a seasonal trend or need. But with the range of both indoor and outdoor art, statues and ornaments we have been kept very busy throughout the year. This is what you can expect if you are serious and want to start your own business. If it is just a spare time, extra cash hobby you are after.....time is yours to do with what you please.
Question: What if I can't do it or have any problems?
Answer: You will receive a full and comprehensive instructional guide with your moulds and also we give all our members full support, not through support forums or FAQ's, but full email or phone support to help you with whatever problems may arise. We also have a tips and tricks page which covers mixing, pouring, preparing and painting. We offer our full support mainly because it is in our best interest that you succeed in your business and also there is a very big chance you simply will not need it! Its so simple even my kids do it!
Question: How much do I need to spend?
Answer: That is entirely up to you. You can purchase a single mould and give it a try before you commit fully or you can purchase the full range...completely up to you.
We do however have a special at the moment that when you sign up just as a free member you will receive a 15% discount on all our ABS moulds and products.
If your purchase exceeds $500.00 you will receive a 20% discount.
If your purchase exceeds $1500.00 you will receive a 25% discount. That's a huge saving!
Question: How and where will I sell them?
Answer: We only on sell moulds that have been proven "winners" and sell on a regular basis. We do not sell "trinkets" or "nic-nacs" that customers will not buy. This means any of the moulds that you purchase will create a profitable income.
We use, as you know, our own website which as a member you are more than welcome to use the members gallery to sell your goods on our site, or you may already have a website or plan to start one.
OR..E-bay, Trade me, Zillion, Oztion.....any number or online auctions have proven to be excellent sites.
OR garden centers, retail outlets, craft stores, cafe's or even your local green grocery...you name it..the options are endless!
And lastly your local markets. In our area alone there are at least 7 different weekend markets where on the odd occasion we sell our goods. These are very popular in the Summer time and have proven to be well worth the effort. Most weekend market information for your area is available online.
Once again it is up to you and on how much time and effort you are prepared to invest. The more you put in the greater the reward. But I must still insist on saying once again..you don't need any "special talents" or "diplomas", you don't need to be an "artist" or "rocket scientist"...its so simple and takes very little time..........
