River Traders Market Whanganui’s market by the river ‘The River Traders’ is a popular weekend attraction, located in an area recorded in history as a busy riverside trading site for local Maori. This vibrant Saturday market was set up on the site of the original Whanganui market where Maori traded with early Europeans. Visitors are greeted with a wide ranging display of artists, craft works, garden plants and products, traditional baking and produce. Saturdays in Whanganui are not complete without a visit to the The River Traders ‘Whanganui’s Market by the River’. There are generally more than 60 traders at this market selling a range of goods from fresh produce to organics, ( the Growers Green) arts and crafts etc.

The Amblers' Market is a boutique market in Palmerston North emphasizing on good quality, locally-made craft and local produce and food.
It is held on the outskirts of town at the premises of Palmerston North's largest pottery, and provides accommodation for stalls both indoors and outdoors. Stallholders are encouraged to provide demonstrations of aspects of their crafts.
