Waimate Market
Waimate Market is held every Saturday morning from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon. Buy fresh, local produce direct from the grower, home baking, bric a brac. The market is held in the Council carpark next to the Library.

Promenade in the Park
The Waimate Edwardian Heritage Group Brings you "Promenade in the Park" from 11.00am Saturday 13th. Featuring free family entertainemnt including Natural Magic Show, Gypsy Rose Fortune teller, gypsy dance troup, stalls, fashion show etc. Competitions include Mens Moustache (judging 11.30am) gondola racing from 2.30 (make a gondola and bring it along on the day).
Other events over the weekend include;
Friday 12th Twilight Tour of old Waimate Cemetery
Saturday 13th from 7.30; Venetian Marsked Carnivale both of these events require ticket entry.

Waimate Centennial School Fair

Annual school fundraising fair held in school grounds Hughes Street, Waimate. Games galore, prizes to be won, white elephant stalls, bouncy castle, rides, food silent auction and live entertainment. Great family fun.

Art, pottery, sculpture, fibre, photography, best local artist presented on opening night. Opening Night Preview and Presentation of Awards held on Friday 26th March at 8.00pm. Doors open at 7.30pm. Exhibition closes 3.00pm Monday 5th April.
